ELIGIBILITY FOR DINING CENTER MEALS

The following persons are eligible to eat lunch at the Dining Center:

*All individuals aged 60 or over.

*Their spouses.

*Non-elder handicapped people who reside in complexes co-located with the Dining Center.

*Disabled persons who reside at home with, and accompany, older individuals.

****EACH PARTICIPANT MUST BE PRE-ENROLLED AT THE DINING CENTER.****

ENROLLMENT PROCEDURE FOR PARTICIPANTS AT DINING CENTERS

Each new participant is to complete the “Dining Center Enrollment Form”. Send this to Highland Valley in the blue accordion file.

Each new participant is to receive the following:
Welcome Letter
Meal Contributions and Winter Storm Cancellation Policy

Record all new participant information for permanent use at the Dining Center

This information must also be added to the Congregate Meal Report to be sure that it is entered into the SIMS computer system at Highland Valley.

RESERVATION SYSTEM FOR DINING CENTER MEALS

Each Dining Center participant and guest, must make a reservation at least 48 hours in advance.

POLICY FOR GUESTS AT DINING CENTERS

A person under aged 60 may attend the Dining Center as a guest of a participant. Each guest is charged the full price of the meal as set by Highland Valley Elder Services. For instance, as of 2003, this price is established at $4.50 per meal.
