Meal Contributions

Did you know that it costs Highland Valley Elder Services over One Million Dollars to make and deliver over 250,000 meals each year? Many meals are brought directly to elders at their home and the rest are served at our dining centers.

Some of the money that pays for these meals comes from Federal and State funds. The rest comes from the contributions you make. This means that each of you receives a tasty, healthful meal at a very affordable price.

You are entitled to a meal as one of the benefits of paying taxes over the years. Highland Valley is required, however, to offer you the opportunity to make a voluntary, tax deductible contribution. Should you decide to contribute in the envelope provided, we urge you to give according to your means. You will receive a meal even if you choose not to contribute. You must decide what is best for you.

Your contributions enable us to continue buying the highest quality foods for you, your friends and neighbors to enjoy. If all participants contribute what they can afford, the program will continue to be a great success.

Thank you for your support!

Voluntary donations are requested within your means against the $5.25 per meal cost.
