RESPONSIBILITIES OF HIGHLAND VALLEY ELDER SERVICES

1. Provide pre-packaged hot, frozen, evening and emergency meals.

2. Provide supplies and equipment to the Dining Center Operator, sufficient within available resources, to provide congregate and home delivered meals for eligible elders in the community.

3. Pay for permits, licenses, and inspections as required by local governing authorities (i.e. Board of Health).

4. Provide nutrition education programs at a minimum of twice annually.

5. Provide technical support and assistance as needed to assist in the operation of the Dining Center, including training of Dining Center personnel and drivers.

6. Periodically monitor the Center’s progress under this agreement and provide technical feedback and recommendations as appropriate.

7. Provide an opportunity for participant input through the coordination of the Nutrition Project Council.

8. And finally, to encourage communication, teamwork, and the joint use of resources of Highland Valley Elder Services, the Dining Center Operator, Dining Center participants and personnel in a way which enhances all of our goals and, develops the potential of the program to its fullest.
