Massachusetts PCA Referral Directory
The Massachusetts PCA Referral Directory is free for elders and people with disabilities, who qualify for the MassHealth PCA Program. Individuals will be able to search the website for qualified PCAs by zip code and screen for criteria, such as access to a car, hours of availability, experience, and a range of other relevant factors. The website, which also is available in Spanish, is completely accessible for people, who use any kind of assistive technology. Current and/or potential individuals looking for work as PCAs can apply and register free of charge, 24 hours a day, on the website, or by calling toll free at (866) 211-WORK (9675).
Massachusetts Rehabilitation Commission's Home Modification Loan Program
This state funded loan program began in 1999 and has assisted hundreds of Massachusetts residents by providing loans to make access and safety modifications to the residence of elders and individuals with disabilities. The intent of the program is to allow people to reamin in their homes and live more independently in their communities.

Mesothelioma
Mesothelioma, a rare cancer of the lining of the lung, is caused by exposure to asbestos. Because of long dormancy period,mesothelioma and other asbestos-related diseases can remain undetected for over a decade before the patient shows any signs of illness. An exposure of as little as one or two months can result in mesothelioma 30 or 40 years later in life. For this reason, many people are not diagnosed with mesothelioma until later in life.
